Bell-Pepper-Cabbage Fry
This Bell-Pepper-Cabbage Fry not only looks great but tastes great, too, and is easy to make. Serve it with plain dal and rice. If you’re looking for a quick stir-fry that’ll awaken your tastebuds, try this curry. This curry would go well with Indian roti as well.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups, cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 cup bell-pepper, cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup carrot, sliced into oval-shaped pieces
- 3-4 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp cilantro (coriander leaves), finely chopped
- Salt to taste
For Seasoning
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 4-5 green chillies, slit and deseeded
- 1/2-inch piece ginger, julienned (cut into thin strips)
Preparation
- Heat oil in a large stainless steel skillet. Add the mustard and sesame seeds, and fry until the mustard pops.
- Add the carrots, and stir-fry on high heat and stir-fry for 1/2 a minute. Add the bell-pepper and saute for 1/2 a minute.
- Add the cabbage and salt and stir for a minute.
- Sprinkle the chopped cilantro and cover and cook for a minute. Remove in a serving dish.
- Serve the bell-pepper-cabbage fry with rice and dal. or with roti.
