British Hospitals Buying Plus-Size Equipment

British hospitals are buying plus-size equipment so they can treat the growing number of obese patients.

According to reports, hospitals have spent 5.5 million pounds on widening corridors, reinforced beds, lifting equipment, and equipment for cooling bodies that don’t fit into mortuary refrigerators.

Obesity is a growing problem in the UK, with over a quarter of the adult population obese, and 1 in 5 children aged 10 to 11 classified as obese. More….
