By the Numbers: Ebola Outbreak In West Africa – The deadly Ebola virus, for which there is no cure or vaccine, has killed more than 250 people in west Africa since March in one of the worst outbreaks in years, with Doctors Without Borders calling it an “unprecedented” epidemic. The current Ebola outbreak started in Guinea; it quickly spread throughout the country, and then to neighboring Liberia and Sierra Leone. The outbreak doesn’t seem to be slowing down, despite the intervention of international health authorities.
