Chris Pine Circling Warner Bros.’ ‘Wonder Woman’ – Chris Pine is in talks with Warner Bros.for the movie, “Wonder Woman” and might play the superhero film’s Steve Trevor the love interest of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Diana Prince.
Patty Jenkins is directing the female superhero movie after passing on the opportunity to direct Thor 2 for rival Marvel Studios. She came onboard in April after Michelle MacLaren left the project citing creative differences. Jenkins will be directing from a script by Jason Fuchs. Wonder Woman is set for release on Jun 23, 2017.
This is Pine‘s foray into the the popular superhero genre. His recent projects include Z for Zachariah, Into the Woods and Horrible Bosses 2. He’ll next be seen in Coast Guard drama, The Finest Hours with Ben Foster and Eric Bana, and he’ll also return for Star Trek 3.
