Working with your doctor to understand the physiology and proper treatment of your pain is extremely important .

You must practice coping strategies that may not take the pain away but will lessen it because you have less anxiety and depression impacting that pain. While coping strategies won’t necessarily take your pain away, they can help you get it to a level that you can deal with.

At the very least, they help keep your pain from getting worse due to pain anxiety. Some effective coping strategies include acceptance, positive mental attitude and spirituality.
