Experts Reveal 20 Year Study Concluding Cannabis Is NOT Harmless – King’s College professor and World Health Organization drug advisor Professor Wayne Hall released the results of a 20 year study that claims smoking marijuana is actually not as harmless as people thought. He claims cannabis actually leads to long-term mental health and addiction problems.

Smoking weed might not be as harmless as you think. A new 20-year study says, it is actually pretty bad for you. The study was conducted at London’s King’s College by Professor Wayne Hall who’s also the drug advisor for the World Health Organization (WHO). He said that cannabis does, in fact, affect brain function over a long period of time.

One in six teens and one in 10 adults who smoke weed become dependent on it. And here’s a scary statistic – according to the study, cannabis users are twice as likely to develop psychotic disorders like schizophrenia.

Hall says that just because it’s fatally impossible to fatally overdose on marijuana, doesn’t mean it’s any less harmful.

The study concludes that regular use, especially among teenagers, correlates with long-term mental health and addiction problems. There’s also a higher risk of cancer, bronchitis, and heart attacks. Use of marijuana has definitely gone up, with the move to legalize the drug in many US states.
