Japanese Nationalists Brand Angelina Jolie a ‘Racist’ for ‘Immoral Depiction’ of Japanese Prison Guards in Unbroken -Japanese Nationalists are furious with Angelina Jolie for her immoral depiction of Japanese prison guards in her upcoming film, Unbroken, and they are calling to halt the film and ban her from traveling to the country. They’re branding the war epic a pure fabrication, insisting it has no credibility.
The film tells the story of American Olympian athlete, Louis Zamperini, and the events following his crash-landing in the Pacific Ocean in May 1943.
A number of social media campaigns have been launched ahead of the film’s release, accusing Jolie of racial discrimination against the Japanese people, and for defaming Japan as a nation. The petition has attracted 8,000 signatures backing the halt of the film on the grounds that it is contradictory of the facts. But we don’t think that’ll be enough to suppress the possible Oscar frontrunner.
