Navigating a Farmers Market – “Food Network Star” chef Vic Moea shows host Judy Greer what to look for at a farmers market, as well as shares some easy recipes for fresh vegetables.

Whatever fruits and vegetables you see in the farmer’s market are all in season, unlike in grocery stores, which get off-season produce from other countries.

Itlaian zucchini and squash are great for whipping up quick sides by sauteing and caramelizing.

When it comes to herbs, to get the most flavor from thyme, use the whole stalk while cooking. Same goes for cilantro.

Fresh artichokes sqweak when you squeeze them.
