No-Onion No-Garlic Recipes

Here are some easy no-onion no-garlic recipes if you don’t eat onion and garlic. Many vegetarians do not eat onions and garlic for various reasons. Buddhists, Jains and Krishna worshippers – such as members of ISKON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) follow a garlic- and onion-free diet as these are believed to stimulate the body and mind, increasing passion and aggression. Hindus eschew onions and garlic during religious festivals.

You can make up for the many health benefits that onion and garlic provide in other ways. Made with different types of grains, beans and legumes, lentils, vegetables and greens, these dishes offer many of the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients essential for a healthy diet.

Since many of the recipes on this site do not use onion or garlic, I thought I would list them here for your convenience.

In fact, even those recipes on this site that have onions and garlic would work equally well without these two ingredients, so check those out as well.

Here’s a list of no-onion no-garlic recipes.
