US Teens Texting More While Driving

US teens are texting more while driving, a new survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The survey was conducted last year and was the first one to collect data on texting and driving.

The survey shows that only 15% of teenagers smoked cigarettes in 2013, a huge drop from 27% in 1991. They’re also fighting less, only 38%  saying they were in a physical fight in the past year, down from 32%  in 2011. But over 40% of teens say they had sent text messages or emails while driving. More needs to be done to increase awareness about the dangers of distracted driving. More….
