| July 14, 2013 Comment

Coriander in all its forms is used in practically every curry all across India and most of south Asia as well. Coriander adds a wonderful flavor to most curries which is very distinctive, and it also helps the body digest the food.

Coriander is used in three ways in most curries. It can be ground into a powder, it can be used whole as a seed which are toasted and ground into a powder or toasted and cracked and then used in a curry, and it is also used as a fresh herb – also known as cilantro. Each time coriander adds a unique, distinctive flavor to the curry.

The coriander or cilantro herb can be used to make a chutney, can be used as a garnish in a curry or it can be folded into a sauce to add a delicious, fresh flavor to any curry.
