White Sauce for Pasta
White Sauce for Pasta is an easy sauce to whip up in short order. This delicious creamy sauce also has some bell-peppers and onions and milk, making it nutritious and healthy.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup bell-pepper (capsicum), cut into small cubes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (oregano, thyme, rosemary)
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter or heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt, half a pinch or to taste
Preparation
- Heat the olive oil. Add the onions and bell-pepper and saute on medium heat until semi-tender.
- Add the flour and saute for 2 minutes until aromatic.
- Add the Italian sesaoning and saute for a few seconds.
- Add the milk and stir on medium-low heat until the white sauce for pasta starts thickening.
- Add the butter or cream and a little salt and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add the black pepper powder and remove the white sauce for pasta from heat.
- Pour the white sauce over the pasta when ready to serve.
