Not all types of yogurt are good for you; there are some you might want to avoid. If you have a craving for those fruity, frozen yogurts, you might want to think twice before consuming them.

Yogurt contains natural sugar in the form of lactose. In plain yogurt, the lactose content is between 12 and 15 grams per serving. The sugar content goes up depending on the kind of yogurt. In low-fat plain yogurt, the natural sugar level goes up to 17 grams, while in frozen, fruity yogurts sugar levels are higher because of added sugars. Syrupy fruits, candied nuts, and sweetened granola added to frozen yogurt ups the sugar per serving and are best avoided if you’re counting calories, and watching your health.
