Teen Battling Cancer Raises Millions for Charity
Stephen Sutton, a 17-year-old from England, is terminally ill with bowel cancer, and has been battling the disease for four years. Raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust was at the top of his bucket list. To achieve that, he started a website and a Facebook page called Stephen’s Story, and has since inspired people all over the world to donate to his charity. To date, he has raised over $4 million dollars.
According to Stephen, the Trust has helped him and kids like him deal with the disease, giving them a sense of community and a positive attitude. Though he has managed to accomplish 33 items from his bucket list, these days, he says he’s more focused on his charity than anything else.
