Change lifestyle habits to reduce heart problems, suggest Northwestern University researchers. According to their study, it’s never too late to adopt healthy habits.

Study participants in their 30s and 40s who made healthy changes to their diet, exercised, did not smoke and limited their consumption of alcohol, were able to reverse their risk for heart disease.

However, maintaining these healthy habits is key to good health. Researchers found that participants who gave up healthy habits as they grew older, increased their risk for heart disease.
