A Dog Ran Away from Home to Get to the Hospital Where Her Owner Was Receiving Cancer Treatment – Sissy is an adorable miniature schnauzer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa who ran away from home just so she could find her owner Nancy Franck, who was in the hospital receiving treatment for her cancer.
Security footage from the hospital shows Sissy arriving at the hospital after walking 20 blocks from home, going through the automatic doors and then putting her nose to the ground before disappearing down the hallway. Security officer Samantha Conrad told KCRG: Staff members got in touch with Nancy’s husband, Dale, who was at home wondering where his dog ran off to.
Unfortunately, Sissy wasn’t allowed to stay with her human, but Nancy did get to spend a few minutes with her pooch before she was taken back home.
