A human hand instead of a canvas – New York, 16January 2015 – A unique art exhibition is on display in the US. And it’s all for a good cause – raising awareness about endangered animals.
Artist Guido Daniele uses the human hand to create detailed, life-like animals and instead of using paint, he uses make-up.
Fifteen years ago, Daniele decided to focus his work on hand-painting to convey his message on protecting nature and environment. He says the hands are most expressive parts of the body. Once he’s done with a painting, he takes a picture, so it can live forever.
