Ann Romney to Publish New Memoir
Ann Romney to publish new memoir – Ann Romney is writing a memoir about her battle with multiple sclerosis.
Romney said, “A lot of people talk about a transformation that happens when life throws you a curveball, and the big one in my life was my MS diagnosis.“
“…In sharing my story, I want to give others hope, as I’ve been given hope on this journey,” she said.
Proceeds from the memoir will be donated to the Ann Romney Center for Neurological Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, which she launched to battle five neurological diseases: multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s disease and brain tumors.
In multiple sclerosis, the body’s immune system attacks attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers the nerves, damaging the nerves. MS can be a debilitating disease and those affected can the ability to walk and function independently. There is no cure for MS.
