CNN: Obama to Name Former Adviser to Coordinate US Ebola Response – CNN is reporting that President Obama will appoint former White House adviser Ron Klain as the Ebola “czar” to coordinate the US efforts to combat the deadly virus.

Klain is seen here with on the left with actor Kevin Spacey. CNN cited unidentified sources. Klain is a former chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden, who had been part of the White House inner circle earlier in the Obama administration.

An un-named official told CNN he will report to homeland security adviser Lisa Monaco and national security adviser Susan Rice. The official said the attorney comes to the job “with strong management credentials, extensive federal government experience overseeing complex operations and good working relationships with leading members of Congress, as well as senior Obama administration officials, including the president.”

The decision to appoint Klain as Ebola czar was made after the Obama administration came under a lot of fire for their handling of the Ebola outbreak in the country.
