Jerry Seinfeld Believes He Has Mild Autism – Jerry Seinfeld reveals to NBC Nightly News that he believes he’s “on the spectrum” with a mild form of autism due to the way he struggles in basic social engagements, and how his comfort level only increases around other comedians.

Jerry Seinfeld has spent a lifetime making people laugh, but now he’s using his voice for something a little more serious. He tells NBC Nightly News that he believes he has a mild form of autism. He says,”I think, on a very drawn-out scale, I’m on the spectrum.”

It’s argued that Seinfeld and some of the most funniest and successful comedians all have specific traits, ranging from depression to insecurity. But the 60-year-old elaborates on why he thinks might affect him.

He tells NBC”Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I’m very literal. When people talk to me and use expressions, sometimes, I don’t know what they’re saying.”

We’ve definitely seen Seinfeld be cordial yet a little uncomfortable. He says that, “Other comedians are only kind of people I feel completely relaxed around.”

Still, he remains positive. He tells NBC,”I don’t see it aa a dysfunction. I just see it as an alternate mindset.”

It’s cool to see a standup comedian stand up for a cause worth discussing.
