Lenovo reveals new smart wristband with an accessible price – Lenovo hopped onto the wearable bandwagon back in October with its Smartband SW-B100.
On Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show, the company announced its Vibe Band VB10, which the company’s latest go at a smartwatch/fitness tracker. The device has an e-ink display — which makes sure everything is always visible, even in the sunlight — as well as phone notifications from social media and SMS messaging systems.
The fitness-tracking aspects are fairly straightforward, too. According to Lenovo’s news release, the wristband tracks distance traveled, steps walked, calories burned and sleep habits. It also has Bluetooth connectivity and a seven-day battery life.
One thing that could set the Lenovo Vibe Band VB10 apart, however, is the price. It’s just $89 and will hit stores in the US in April 2015.
