How to Make Candied Almonds and Cashews – Here’s a a quick and easy recipe for making Candied Almonds and Cashews.

Servings: 4

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup cashew nuts
  • 2-3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Salt, a pinch
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar (castor/confectioner’s sugar)

Preparation

  1. In a pan melt the butter, add honey and maple syrup and mix. Then add cinnamon and Vanilla Extract and a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly.
  2. When the mixture is ready, pour it over your almonds and cashews making sure that the nuts are all coated evenly.
  3. Pour onto a lined baking tray, spreading the nuts evenly over the try and bake for 10 minutes. Turn them over midway through the baking time.
  4. Top with sugar while the nuts are still hot and mix them so the sugar has coated all of the nuts.
  5. Serve the nutty and sweet candied almonds and cashews.
