Foods to Eliminate from Your Diet – Here’s a list to keep in mind if you want to eat healthy and lose weight.

  • Refined sugars – are hidden in the breads and packaged foods you eat regularly and can be very bad for you.
  • Processed foods – are not real foods and cause various health problems because of all the additives and preservatives in them.
  • Artificial sweeteners – don’t work; it’s better to use regular sugar; just cut down how much you use. For instance, use 1 teaspoon of sugar in your coffee instead of 2.
  • Dairy – can be a problem if you’re lactose intolerant – it can cause gas and bloating.
  • Wheat – the gluten in wheat can cause stomach problems like gas and bloating, and mess up your digestion, and could lead to gluten-sensitivity and diseases like celiac.

Start your morning with a cup of warm water and lime or lemon juice. It helps you start the day on the right note by getting your digestive system to work well. According to Ayurveda, this simple drink is also very good for the liver, and experts like Dr. Oz recommend replacing your morning cup of coffee with this drink first thing in the morning. Save your coffee for after your morning ablutions.

For breakfast, a fruit smoothie  with whey or other protein powder is a good choice. Quinoa is also a great source of protein that you can add to your lunch.

If you’re trying to lose weight, have a glass of vegetable broth in between meals; it’s a healthy way to fill up when hungry without adding calories. Be sure to include lots of vegetables and for fat, opt for nut butters, as they’re healthier than many oils. Peanut butter might be too addictive.
